Description:

Distribute meals prepared at our soup kitchen and assist staff with keeping the space organized while guests enjoy dinner.

Eligibility:

- Ages: 17+

Purpose:

Helping adults have a positive place to be during the day that is engaging for those experiencing homelessness or limited options in housing.

Description

Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen (DESK) has been serving New Haven, Connecticut, for over 30 years. Powered by over 1,000 volunteers annually, DESK provides dinner each night, groceries each week, and summer supplemental foods to school-aged children. Altogether, DESK passionate staff and volunteers serve over 2,000 people each year.
