Description:
Volunteers assist staff with serving to-go dinners. To-go dinner includes ready to eat and portable meal items for a household of 1 or more individuals. Dinner is currently being served outside, so plan to spend most of the shift outdoors. We expected that volunteers will wear masks while serving and handling food packaged foods inside and distributing foods to guests outdoors.
Purpose:Volunteers will assist with food preparations and distribute a meal to guests outdoors.
TEENS, 15 - 18: You are welcome to join us often. We will need parental permission the first time you sign up so have your parents check their emails as well.

Description
Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen (DESK) has been serving New Haven, Connecticut, for over 30 years. Powered by over 1,000 volunteers annually, DESK provides dinner each night, groceries each week, and summer supplemental foods to school-aged children. Altogether, DESK passionate staff and volunteers serve over 2,000 people each year.
