Baptist Hospice of Huntingdon, TN is seeking volunteers to provide support for our patients, families and caregivers. Opportunies include:
- Patient Visits-Provide socialization and companionship (no hands-on care) for the patient and/or sit with the patient while their caregiver grocery shops, attends appointments, or needs self-care time away from the home for an afternoon.
- Bereavement Services- Assit with mailings, support groups and, if comfortable, phone calls
- Administrative Support- Miscellanous in-office tasks to support patients/caregivers.
- How a special skillset that might work well in a hospice setting? Let us know! We are looking to add value to our patients' lives in as many ways as possible.
Whether you are a student looking for experience, a retiree looking for a compassionate way to give of your time or a busy professional wanting to give-back on their weekends, we welcome you to try us out! We work with your schedule and comfort level. Training is provided!

Description
We serve much of the northern half of Western Tennessee with hospice care and bereavement follow-up care. Hospice provides support and care for persons in the last phases of a life limiting condition so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining the quality of remaining life. Baptist Hospice of Huntingdon is a proud participant in the We Honor Veterans program.
