Are you a high school or college student who is interested in going into the medical or human service field and that is looking for experience to add to your resume? HarmonyCares Hospice - Lansing is passionate about providing hands on education and opportunities to work with hospice patients while sharing your unique skills.

Volunteer schedules are flexible and dedicated volunteers can request letters of recommendation for college applications or professional resumes.

Description

HarmonyCares Hospice of Lansing provides patients with a terminal illness, with a life expectancy of 6 months or less, the specialized care needed at end of life. Volunteers provide a wide range of activities across several counties including Ingham, Shiawassee, Clinton, Jackson, and Eaton. Volunteers can sign up to provide companionship, emotional support, supportive presence, light housekeeping, lawn/ pet care, and MUCH MUCH MORE!

  • All time commitments are based on your availability and schedule.
  • Since we are working with an at risk population, volunteers will be required to undergo a drug screening, TB testing, fingerprinting, and background check. All testing is set up and paid for by HarmonyCares Hospice.(Ages 14-17 excluded from testing)
