Did you know that many residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities have no family living in the area and receive no visitors? Having visits from friends and taking part in social activities is important to the health and well-being of every resident.
Make a difference in the lives of elders living in nursing facilities by visiting one-on-one, helping with group activities and special events, partnering with a resident on outings or leading social and educational groups.
Opportunities are available in communities throughout NE Minnesota, any day of the week, including evenings. This is a great way to involve the entire family in volunteer service.

RSVP engages older individuals in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and to provide a high quality experience to enrich the lives of volunteers.
Description
RSVP is part of Senior Corps and places individuals 55 and better in service opportunities with nonprofit organizations and health care facilities. Service opportunities are designed to meet the interests, talents and time commitments of both the volunteer and organization. Similar services for volunteers under the age of 55, families and groups are provided through Arrowhead RSVP's companion program, Northland Volunteer Center.
