The City of Pasadena Senior Commission and Pasadena Village will host the City’s second annual celebration of Older Americans Month. This free event will highlight Pasadena’s array of resources for older adults and offer giveaways, food, presentations and much more!
We are looking to fill two volunteer roles:
First, assitance with unloading vehicles, greeting exhibitors as they arrive, and ushering them to where their table is. For this role all you need is the ability to ambulate on grass and mildly uneven ground, and a hospitable personality! We will also have free breakfast and coffee available.
Second, we're looking for assistance with cleanup as the event ends. This largely entails helping vendors pack up their cars and helping Pasadena Village staff pack up their cars. If you have a car and are willing to transport items to the Village office afterwards (located at 236 W Mountain St, Suite 104, Pasadena) that's an extra bonus, although not required. Please note the shift times in this post for more information.

Pasadena Village is a nonprofit organization of adults over 55 whose mission is to foster vital independent living in a spirit of mutual support, enrichment, and inclusivenes s. Pasadena Village has over 200 active older adult members who live in the west San Gabriel Valley and adjacent areas. They stay connected via active walking and hiking outings, support groups and discussion groups, and they support each other and contribute to the local community as they age in place.
