Support mental health by becoming a NAMI Vermont Ending the Silence presenter or NAMI Vermont In Our Own Voice presenter. Are you an individual living with a mental health condition, in a comfortable place in your recovery, and willing to tell your story? The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Vermont (NAMI Vermont) is currently seeking young adults (ages 18-35) or lead presenters (ages 18+) to support both Ending the Silence and In Our Own Voice programs by sharing their stories of recovery.

Ending the Silence is a free, 50-minute presentation that engages middle and high school student audiences to learn about the symptoms and warning signs of mental health conditions and gives attendees information about how to help themselves, friends, or family members who may need support. The presentation includes two leaders: one who shares an informative presentation and a young adult with a mental health condition who shares their journey of recovery.

In Our Own Voice is a free, 60-minute presentation that harnesses the power of personal stories to change attitudes, assumptions, and stereotypes about people living with mental health conditions. Two trained presenters with lived experience of a mental health condition talk openly about their experiences and how they have found pathways to hope and healing.
