Our hope is to gather a committee of volunteers dedicated to the state and condition of this historic building as well as the surrounding property. This would entail the maintenance and upkeep that the committee would work together to prioritize.
The committee's responsibilities would be as follows:
-maintenance and upkeep of the grounds
-presenting needs to the board of directors to get any necessary funds approved
-identify any situations that would require action outside of their means
-all else as related
We are hoping to find a group of people with a variety of skills that would be useful to the upkeep of the house and grounds. Some tasks that might fall under this category could be as small as grounds maintenance of chopping firewood for events, repairs to outdoor features of the home, organizational-based events, and many more.
Any tradespeople willing to volunteer their time would be greatly appreciated. We are looking for people who have a working knowledge/ background in
- plumbing
- electrical
- handyman
- carpentry

Mission Statement
The mission of the Friends of Bolton Mansion is to engage the Lower Bucks County community through exhibits and programming that are open to the public. The continued restoration and preservation of the Mansion as a historic museum, along with the Farmers’ residence and surrounding grounds will foster interest in the interpretation of the site, the history of Bolton Mansion, and its role in the early history of the Commonwealth through the present day.
Description
Friends of Bolton Mansion members and volunteers work together to restore this beautiful piece of history through fundraising events and private event rentals. Our goals for 2019 are to build our volunteer base including specialists, to increase our outdoor security of the building to preserve any restorations that have been completed, restore the first floor hallway (the last remaining restoration on the first floor), and update our web presence by redesigning our website and increasing our social media marketing.
