Des Moines Music Colalition is putting on their annual 80/35 music festival. On July 12 &13 at Water Works Park in Des Moines, IA.

Volunteer shifts for 80/35 are available Monday, July 8th through Tuesday July 16th, with our biggest needs being July 12th and 13th. Most shift are for about 4 hours each. You are welcomed to sign up for multiple shift a day(s)Volunteer jobs include admissions ticket taking, selling beverage tickets, serving beverages, merchandise sales, Kid Zone, Green Team and Volunteer Headquarters, among many more jobs.

This year we will also be offering some overnight shift for set up and tear down. There is something for everyone and at every age! Sign-up with your family, friends, co-workers - all groups are welcome! We try very hard to make sure your group is able to work together.

Volunteer Benefits - in addition to the coolest Volunteer T-Shirt, you will have access to Volunteer Headquarters (VHQ), where we will provide you with everything you might need during your shift: healthy (and not healthy) snacks, light meals, water, fans, a changing area, first aid/sunscreen, bug spray, etc. You will also have a place to relax and unwind as needed throughout the festival. Don't be a stranger!

Every year, DMMC curates and produces a series of festivals and events to provide the Iowa music community with the opportunity to celebrate the local, regional, and national music industry. Each of our events is created with the mission of:

  • Making central Iowa a destination for both world-class performing artists and fans from around the Midwest
  • Providing progressive cultural opportunities for Iowans
  • Connecting local businesses and organizations with the local music movement and the people making it happen
  • Expanding the local music audience
  • Exposing local bands and artists to new fans
