Recruiting Organization: Hope Through Housing

To help ensure that residents in low-income housing have access and availability to more health, wellness, education, and financial empowerment programs, the VISTA will help strengthen partnerships with local public and private organizations in Los Angeles County to secure in-kind donations and expand Hope through Housing Foundation's volunteer program to provide the support, skills and resources volunteers need to be successful. Ultimately, the VISTA will leverage volunteers to build capacity and help residents break the generational cycle of poverty.

Member Duties : Member will research, develop and implement volunteer opportunities that meet Hope Through Housing’s community impact goals in the areas of at-risk youth, economic mobility, special populations and youth health and wellness. The VISTA member will participate in recruitment, placement and scheduling volunteers, building a sustainable pipeline for volunteerism within Hope Through Housing's housing communities. The VISTA member will accomplish this by implementing data tracking and evaluating volunteer metrics.
