NAMI St. Louis is looking for volunteers to facilitate Connection Support Groups (CSG). NAMI Connection Support Group’s are free groups for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Participants share their experiences in a safe setting, which allows them to gain hope and develop supportive relationships. NAMI Support Groups are peer-led, meaning that they are led by people with similar experiences.
Connection Support Group facilitators are people who are living with a mental health condition and would like to help support others who are experiencing something similar. Groups are led by 2 people and will meet once each month for 90 minutes per group. Our 2024 training dates for CSG are February 24-25 and August 3-4, from 8:00am-5:00pm and will be taught online. Upon successfully completing the training, you will be a certified NAMI Support Group leader.
We are open to starting groups anywhere, but are especially interested in starting groups in St Louis City, North St Louis County and Washington, MO.
If you are interested, please email programs@namistl.org and indicate that you are interested in this opportunity or call 314-962-4670 for any questions.
