Access Equestrian is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated intern to work with our stable management team. The stable and horse management intern is responsible for assisting in the care of our therapeutic horses.
To be successful as a stable and horse management intern you must have excellent horsemanship knowledge. An ideal candidate combines equine interests with compassion for animal welfare.
Please note this is an unpaid internship position. For school credit only.
Stable and Horse Management Intern Responsibilities:
- Assist in the care of therapeutic horses
- Implement regular grooming techniques to maintain horses appearance
- Comfortably handle horses
- Follow instructions for setting up regular feeding routine
- Manage horse stall care
Stable and Horse Management Internship Requirements:
- Contribute a minimum of 5 to 10 hours per week
- Excellent knowledge of equine management
- Basic horsemanship skills
- Enthusiastic mindset
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work in a team
- Intended degree in Equine Science or a related field
