Thank you for considering the 7th Annual Golf FORE CHDs for your volunteer fulfillment wishes and needs. We are so grateful for you! By volunteering with for this event, you are helping us raise money that will fund critical congenital heart defect research. CHDs are the #1 birth defect in the country.

Please do not be discouraged if you are unable to volunteer for the entire shift. We are flexible and able to meet your schedule requests. We ask that you are available for a minimum of 3 hours.

Morning volunteers can expect to:

(Pre-event)

  • light set up of the registration tables including putting on table covers, counting and verifying money, setting up registration stations at the tables, counting out raffle tickets.
  • decoration of guest dinner tables including centerpieces
  • organize raffle baskets

(Golfer check-in)

  • greet golfers upon arrival with a smile!
  • check golfers in
  • sell raffle tickets, mulligans, and other golf game items


Evening volunteers can expect to:

(Golfer return/dinner hour)

  • welcome golfers back!
  • direct golfers to raffle and silent auction items
  • pass out raffle baskets to prize winners
  • give each golfer their parting gift

(Post event)

  • organize and box up centerpieces
  • box up baskets for guests who are not present
  • take down all event materials (signage and decorations)
  • carry all items to cars for loading
  • count and verify monies with event co-chair


We also have many volunteer needs leading up to the event. We are looking for volunteers who are interesting in:

  • requesting raffle items throughout the community
  • sending communications emails
  • managing social media posting
  • helping with centerpiece idea generation and decoration


Please let us know if you'd like to help with any of these items as well.

We began fundraising for congenital heart defect (CHD) research the moment Graeme was born in 2012. That was when we first learned about congenital heart defects (CHDs). Nine years later, we started our own non-profit in his name, The Graeme McDaniel Foundation.
