ORGANIZATION: Retired Senior Volunteer Program and The Volunteer Intergenerational Center

The Missouri Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is searching for volunteer ombudsman statewide to advocate for the elderly and disabled residing in Assisted Living, Skilled Care Nursing Homes, Residential Care Homes, and Veterans Homes. Volunteer Ombudsman visit with residents to promote dignity, respect, and help protect residents' rights in long-term care. Volunteer Ombudsman make a difference by voicing the wishes and concerns of residents to facility management to help improve the residents' quality of life. Training and certification are provided. Description

The Retired Volunteer Program and the Volunteer Intergenerational Center recruit volunteers of all ages in order to help expand services in non-profit agencies who are struggling with today's social issues and problems. These agencies connect volunteers and resourses so that they may work as effectively and efficiently as possible to create positive change for your communities.
