Volunteers & Retired Veterans

As the Coordinator for Friendly Visiting in Aurora/Kane & Yorkville/Kendall counties.

Our program works with seniors 60+ and older who are lonely, depressed and isolated
who could benefit from a weekly social in-home visit along with phone calls.

To become a Friendly Visitor:

  • 18+ years and older
  • Are you Friendly, Dependable and Compassionate
  • Can you initiate a visit once a week
  • Able to complete our screening and training process
There are many ways you can provide a positive interaction that would benefit a senior. Weekly home visit, play cards, take a walk, sit by a park, grab a cheeseburger at McDonalds, come to our location to see a movie, play bingo or pickle ball, work a puzzle at each visit, make a photo album, come to our arts& crafts
or come line dancing. We have events once a month with live music.

Call: Cindy at either location or email: cadams@seniorservicesassoc.org
