ORGANIZATION: Hummingbird Haven, Inc.

We are a new 501(c)3 non-profit organization looking for a counselor willing to volunteer their time to counsel Veteran's suffering with PTSD and their loved ones who are suffering from STSD.

Eventually this will become a paid position if the counselor chooses to stay on board with the organization once we have the funding needed to pay them.

We have started virtual group sessions and would like the counseling sessions to occur virtually. Many of our Veterans and their family members don't have access to the proper health coverage, which makes it difficult for them to take advantage of this type of service. Hummingbird Haven's mission is not to charge them for any of our services to them. They have served their country, and it is now time for their country to serve them. 78% of the veterans that served in Iraq and Afghanistan have PTSD. The families of these veterans suffer from STSD after supporting them through these trying times in their relationship. On average, there are more divorces in the veteran community than there have ever been in the civilian community. Hummingbird Haven wants to help minimize these through our services to them.
