Do you enjoy music, dance, the arts in general? Do you enjoy helping people and making a difference in their lives? Adults with disabilities are often excluded from participating in programs offered for the general public, and even more in the arts. This is why we do what we do!
Drama Interaction is a non profit whose mission is to bring the arts to the underserved in the Twin Cities. We facilitate programs for children and adults and need additional volunteers as our programs are growing.

No prior experience needed in dance or in drama, but it is helpful. Curriculum is very basic and easy to pick up. Our teaching Artists will conduct the classes and volunteers assist in the program in various ways. Helping with passing out props, instruments, engaging a student to join in with encouragement,
playing the music, etc.
Classes are a lot of fun and very upbeat!! Come join our team, we’d love to meet you!

Mission Statement
Drama Interaction is a creative and performing arts program dedicated to fostering expression and empowerment of children and adults with special needs. The nonprofit organization combines the unique talents and passions of performing artists and special education professionals. We are committed to finding the talents and strengths of each individual through performing arts experience in theater, music, dance and puppetry. Our special artists gain confidence through the arts to express their emotions, thoughts and ideas in new ways. Participants can improve interpersonal skills, communication skills, problem solving skills and they will enjoy shared social experiences. Drama Interaction offers our artists the opportunity to nurture critical social and academic skills that bridge the gap between individuals with special needs and their typically performing peers. Programs also for seniors with Dementia/Alzheimer’s.

Drama Interaction offers programs for all ages and all abilities through the performing and creative arts. Individuals participate in dance, acting, singing, puppetry, improv and more.

- Each Program meets for 8 weeks for 1 hour. We would appreciate the volunteer commit to the 8 hours. We have 3 locations/programs so if you wish to assist with more programs we welcome you.
