Pathways Hospice is recruiting volunteers who are compassionate, caring and able to provide emotional support to our patients and their caregivers. Volunteers can provide home visits, pet therapy visits, reiki, life review, arts and crafts, phone calls, music and other support. Extremely flexible and training is provided by Pathways Hospice Volunteer Coordinator. If you have the time and looking for an extremely rewarding opportunity, this is the right fit! Locations and times based on your preferences! Volunteers must reside in Massachusetts.

Description

Hospice Volunteers are an integral part of the Interdisciplinary team consisting of a medical director, nurses, therapists, social workers, chaplains and home health aides. Volunteer roles consist of direct patient visits at home, reading, music, pet therapy, reiki, veteran recognition, and other administrative duties. Hospice volunteers find their work emotionally meaningful and gratifying. The volunteer opportunity is extremely flexible based on the volunteers' location and schedule; volunteers are valued members of our hospice care team.
