Embracing Inclusion

Creating Community Connections

Collaborative Community Housing Initiative(CCHI) was formed by a group of 30 plus families North of Chicago in Illinois, with the specific goal of creating a supportive community where individuals of all abilities live collectively, each determining their own path to a meaningful life.

CCHI spent 5 years collecting data, visiting inclusive living projects in other states, and working with multiple stakeholders to formulate a cutting edge project that meets the needs of our growing community.

Our vision is to create communities with 35-80 unit apartment buildings/townhomes/condos in our neighborhood, that cater to local families and employees that need an affordable and comfortable place to live. This is a wonderful opportunity for all abled people to live in a community with people who have disabilities.

State of the art offerings with advanced technology supports, eco conscious materials, green spaces, efficient yet specialized lighting and universal design, make this desirable for developers and residents.

To help our new 501c3 grow, we need the help of a Marketing Intern.

The Marketing Intern will assist CCHI on several communications projects including but not limited to website updates, blog writing, newsletters, marketing material development, social media writing and monitoring, email marketing and list building, and maintenance. This internship is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates who are looking to gain experience in marketing, social media marketing and communications in a nonprofit environment (and have fun while doing it!). The Marketing Internship is a part-time, unpaid internship. We hope to have this person transition into a paid position in 6 months.
