We are seeking box office and front of House Assistance for our upcoming production of "All Shook Up". If you would like to sign up to help with box office or ushering for a single performance, feel free to sign up at the sign up genius below. By volunteering, you are able to see the show for free.

Box office Volunteers are responsible for
-arriving at the theatre an hour before the start of the show. (1 pm on Saturday and Sunday Matinees, 7pm for Friday and Saturday Evening performances
-sell tickets to customers at the door via cash drawer and simple online ticketing system with a credit card machine
-volunteers may watch the performance that they volunteered for, or leave once it begins
we also have an opportunity for a Box Office Manager. The box office manager would need to be able to attend all performances as well as answer voicemails and emails leading up to the performance (Stipend may be available)
Box Office Manager will be responsible for:
*Taking ticket reservations by phone, email or the website and processing ticket orders
*Must be available and present for all performances at the Summer Place Theatre (All Shook Up and West Side Story"
Evenings of: June 21, 22,28, 29, July 19, 20, 26, 27, August 1,2 (6:30-8pm)
Afternoons of June 22,23, 29, 30, 21,28, August 3 (1-2:30 pm)
*If you can be available for most, but not all, please let us know.
Duties:
*Arrive at the Theatre an hour and a half prior to curtain (12:30 for Matinees, 6 for evening shows. You may leave at aproximately 2:30 on Matinees and 8 for evening shows)
*Put sandwich sign out in front of building
*Check voicemail periodically, return calls within 1 business day, if required
*Set up cash drawer with bank for box office and concessions
*Hang appropriate signage for smooth operating
*Manage the box office, selling tickets to customers
*After show begins count both cash drawers and fill out the box office record sheet
*Make sure starting bank is correct in both drawers and the bank drop goes to the board member that was with you in the box office
*Clean up box office and lock up after show begins

The Summer Place, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and receives our funding through sales of affordably priced tickets, program ads, concessions, grants, and from the kind donations of our patrons. We are Naperville's Community TheatreSM. Our all-volunteer board, crew and cast work hard together to produce entertaining plays and musicals for the Naperville area. We invite you to get involved!
Description
As our name implies, we perform shows in the Summer. We've been doing so since 1966; have a look. You can look up the shows and more importantly, the people who brought them to you: the cast and production crew. Did you participate in one of them, or know someone who did? Feel free to send us any photos or playbills! We are trying to complete our archives. Feel free to email us at info@summerplacetheatre.org if you have something to share.
After summer, there's one more fun event for the year: Ghost Stories ... In the Park ... In the Dark, a fun and spooky evening for kids of all ages put on in cooperation with the Naperville Park District.

It takes a lot of talented people and a lot of work to put on these shows. If you have a knack for acting, singing, painting, building, makeup, costumes, sales, design - we said it takes a lot! - and you have a love for theatre, then we want you in our Community. Get Involved wherever you'd like. We'd love to have you work with us.
