Silicon Valley Shakespeare is looking for volunteers for our Summer Season of 2023!

Our two locations:

Free Shakespeare in the Park:
12th Night
Willow Street Bramhall Park - Willow Glen

We require volunteers for our concessions tent! Volunteers will help set up our tent and sell food and merchandise. All training is done on site - no experience necessary!

Dates:
6/9, 6/10, 6/11
6/15, 6/16, 6/17, 6/18
6/22, 6/23, 6/24, 6/25

Main Stage Shows:
King Lear and Shakespeare in Love
Sanborn Park - Saratoga

We require volunteers for our concessions tent! Volunteers will help set up our tent and sell food and merchandise. All training is done on site - no experience necessary!

Sanborn also needs volunteers to hand out programs and help check in guests.

Description

Our Core Programs

  • Shakespeare and classics-inspired productions in Sanborn Park, where we produce 22 ticketed performances of two plays each summer.
  • Shakespeare in San José, where we produce 13 performances free to the public in Willow Street Park.
  • An education program that features a summer camp for kids, workshops and assemblies to over 2,000 students in local schools, and an internship program for college students to achieve professional development training.
  • A partnership with the San José State University Department of Radio, Television, Film and Theatre, where we co-produce one full-scale production and a 48-Hour Play Festival.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Volunteers should expect to arrive at the park at 5:30 to help set up. We have a curfew of 10 PM at both parks.
  • Bramhall Park is accessible by public transit, Sanborn Park is not. Sanborn has very limited cell and data reception. Please be sure to plan your transportation ahead of time.
