Home Makers of Hope, Inc is a nonprofit that provides free donated furniture and household items to families and individuals in need within Hillsborough County. Home Makers has several box trucks used to deliver these items but desperately needs volunteer drivers. No CDL required, but experience with driving 16'-18' ft box trucks preferred. Additional training can be provided and auto and liability insurance provided while driving our trucks.
As part of a team, these drivers also help with loading, unloading and assembling the furniture delivered to the families and individuals. All teams gather at the Gulf Eagle warehouse in Ybor City. Drivers may choose to help occasionally, alternate weeks or weekly.
The Tuesday Team delivers to the south Tampa area and the Thursday team to the eastern part of the county. Hours vary a little but are usually 9:30-2:30 on Tuesdays and 10:30-3:30 for Thursdays.

Additional drivers and ride-alongs are needed to conduct furniture pick ups on various Saturdays in the above areas.
