Music Therapy

Volunteers are an essential part of the Compassionate Hospice Care team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their caregivers. Your time is needed and valued.

Studies show music therapy can provide the following for all patients, but Alzheimer's and Dementia patients specifically:

  • Emotional support
  • Reduces anxiety
  • Elevates mood
  • Reduces loneliness and isolation
  • Social support
  • Relaxation and comfort

Compassionate Hospice is seeking musicians and singers to join our volunteer team! No previous volunteer experience is necessary. Time commitment would be 1-2 hours per month, or more if you are available. These hours count towards volunteer requirements for educational or legal purposes.
