Inspire the Next Generation: Volunteer as a Writing Coach or College Coach with PeerForward!
Are you passionate about helping first-generation and underserved students succeed in college and beyond? Join PeerForward this summer and play a powerful role in changing lives.
At our dynamic, 4-day Summer Workshops held on college campuses, you'll support high school Peer Leaders-motivated students trained to be changemakers in their schools-as they prepare for their postsecondary journeys.
We’re recruiting for two impactful volunteer roles:
Writing Coach
Work one-on-one with 8 high school students to help them craft powerful, personal college essays that reflect their stories, strengths, and aspirations.
College Coach
Guide a group of 8 students in building a personalized, well-matched list of colleges-opening the door to higher education opportunities they may have never considered.
Volunteers will work with students from across the U.S. and Bermuda. This is an inspiring experience that offers free room and board and allows you to make a deep and lasting impact in just one weekend.
Locations:
Washington College - Chestertown, Maryland (two workshop dates available)
This is a high-impact, unforgettable experience. Your mentorship could be the turning point in a student’s life. Join us and be the reason a young person says, "Because of you, I believed I could."

Mission Statement
PeerForward unleashes the power of influential high school students in low-income districts across the U.S. to boost school-wide college preparation and enrollment.
Description
In low-income communities across America, PeerForward trains teams of high school students to guide their peers through making a postsecondary plan. These teams are part of a national movement to strengthen the college-going cultures in high schools across the country using the power of positive peer influence. By organizing school-wide activities and events throughout the school year, Peer Leaders educate their peers about postsecondary education options, increase the number of students enrolling in higher education, and ensure all students are prepared for life after high school. Peer Leaders not only change the culture in their high schools, but they are also part of a movement that leverages the power of students to make college the expectation, not the exception!
