Good Shepherd Volunteers is a one-year full-time volunteer program that serves women, children, and adolescents affected by poverty, violence and neglect. The upcoming volunteer year starts August 2017 and ends approximately July 2018.
Our volunteers live in community with each other, have a small living stipend, and practice the 4 Tenets of GSV: social justice, community, spirituality, and simplicity. We need people who are compassionate, flexible, and are up for a challenge. The populations we are working with are usually in a traumatic moment in their lives. We have placements in group homes, working with youth in and coming out of foster homes, a domestic violence shelter, in school settings, and in public policy.
We invite you to learn more about our program by visiting our website at www.gsvolunteers.org!
