Volunteer Opportunity : Sexual Reproductive Health Coordinator
The SRH Coordinator will build the capacity of staff and health facility workers on adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health (AYSRH) by strengthening health promotion,supporting the implementation of school health policies and contribute to better availability and accessibility of AYSRH services.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualified nursing/ doctor professional with a specialization in Sexual Reproductive
Health.
Skills in health promotion and prevention outreach activities
Skills in mentoring and training students, colleagues and facilitating workshops
- Advanced Degree or equivalent in public health, or other related fields;
- Clinical degree (medicine, midwifery, nursing).
- managerial skills in the field of humanitarian response, part of which should be in
- health or sexual and reproductive health;
- Good training skills;
- Solid interpersonal communication skills;
- Proficiency in current office software applications.
Fluency in English for both oral and written Organizational skills
Mobilization and fundraising skills

The Sexual and Reproductive Health Specialist promotes sexual and reproductive health programming in emergencies and contribute to strengthening the organization-wide capacity for timely and effective response to humanitarian crises, particularly in Scale-up rural areas of the country.
Should have the capacity to grant writing and organizing fundraising events and on crowdfunding sites to raise funds to implement the health related projects.

WORKING SCHEDULE:
This volunteer opportunity is part-time (1-2 hours per day).
Work on week days depending on your work schedule and the time zone for your target audience
potential to donate.
Applicants should be able to work on remote for a minimum of 2-4 months.
All duties will be done on remote/home
Weekly online meetings with PLANE staff and volunteer briefings will be done online. Meeting will be short aimed at just reviewing the progress
Meetings will be arranged according to the time zone and schedules of the volunteers to avoid
inconveniences.
After volunteering, the opportunity can be recurring and he/she applies for job contract to become
a full remote staff but this depends on performance.

PLATFORM for the NEEDY (PLANE) is a Non-Governmental Organization, NOT for profit operating in the Kabarole district, Rwenzori region, advocating and protecting children, youth and women’s rights through provision of prevention and multi-disciplinary intervention in investigation and information dissemination through radio drama and outreaches so as to have a health -violence free society.
PLANE aims at undertaking collective action for promoting general Health and Reproductive Health Awareness Campaigns on Family Planning, HIV/AIDS, malaria, Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV), Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), charity campaigns, Youth and Teenage Mothers Empowerment, Livelihoods, education for needy children, livelihoods, water, sanitation and hygiene , Adolescence and sexual reproductive health rights, human rights and domestic violence mitigation and access for social and health services among others.
In 2018 PLATFORM for the NEEDY scooped an award from Kabarole District local for the outstanding role in creating awareness in the fight against malaria and domestic violence through radio drama and outreach live performance.
Our Mission: To promote empowerment programs for better Health, Education and Livelihoods for the disadvantaged populations.
