Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being.

Resilience is looking for a Grant Writer Senior Advisor.

The Grant Writer Senior Advisor will work closely with the organization's leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive grant-seeking strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience in grant writing, grant management, and a deep understanding of the grant application process.

This is an unpaid, volunteer, remote position with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive grant-seeking strategy in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities from a variety of sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporations.
  • Prepare grant applications and proposals, including budgets, narratives, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage the grant application process from start to finish, including ensuring compliance with funder requirements, submitting applications on time, and tracking progress and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with funders, including submitting timely reports and responding to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with program staff to develop grant-funded projects and ensure successful implementation and reporting.
  • Keep up-to-date with trends in philanthropy and grant-making, and share information and best practices with the organization's leadership team.
  • Mentor and train other staff members in grant writing and management as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as nonprofit management, public policy, or business administration.
  • 2+ years of experience in grant writing and grant management, with a proven track record of securing funding from a variety of sources.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and proposals.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise proposals.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and trends in philanthropy.
  • Experience in managing relationships with funders and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in training and mentoring staff members.
  • Passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to social justice and equity.
