ORGANIZATION: New Seed Pantry

The Product Receiver will unload the pallets that are delivered by the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
* Required ability to lift 30 lbs.

After unloading the items, the Stock Person will restock the shelves and refrigerated/freezer items that will be provided to our clients on Saturday.

Deliveries are made every first and third Wednesdays of each month at any time between 7-11 am. Volunteers will be notified by the Director of an ETA approximately 30-40 minutes before the arrival of the truck.

Mission Statement

In Partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the New Seed Pantry distributes food and other necessities to families throughout the city of Chicago. It is open from 9 am to 11 am every Saturday morning at our building. We welcome volunteers to help unload, organize, and distribute items to our neighbors. Description

We are located in Uptown and are one of the ministries of the Lakeview Church of Christ. We serve approximately 103 households, reaching roughly 183 people. We provide fresh produce, meat or poultry and other necessary food and personal items to our clients weekly on Saturday mornings from 9-11 am. We also have food delivered by the Greater Chicago Food Depository on the first and third Wednesday mornings of each month.
