ORGANIZATION: STEM PATHS INNOVATION NETWORK

The MakerSpace Volunteer at STEM Paths Innovation Network will set up, troubleshoot, repair, and update 3D Printers, Laser Cutters, Hot presses and other equipment at SPIN to support our youth programming.

Requirements:

(1) Supports the set up, maintenance and workings of the SPIN MakerSpace equipment including safety procedures and training needs

(2) Keeps inventory of equipment current and makes replacement suggestions

(3) Troubleshoot issues and problem solves as possible

(4) Researches, repairs or outsources technology needs such as 3D printer, robotics or other repairs

(5) Makes recommendations for new MakerSpace purchases as possible

Qualifications:

Knowledge of MakerSpace equipment, ability to troubleshoot tech issues, communication skills to triage with nonprofit staff, interest in education and technology development.

If the MakerSpace volunteer interfaces with youth, a background check will be required.

We provide quality enrichment and academic workshops featuring STEAM programming and youth leadership development skills.

We are a robust network capable of providing low-cost STEM programming through dynamic, centralized content creation and decentralized service delivery.
