The 21st Century Community Learning Center will be hosting a STEM-based camp at Slaughter Elementary in June 2023. This program provides academic instruction in the morning, following by hands-on activities and/or enrichment in the afternoon.
While certified teachers will lead the lessons and activities, we are looking for volunteers (ages 16+) to assist and supervise the children. Volunteers should be able to commit to at least one day per week for the duration of the program, but are welcome to do more.
If interested, please respond to the questionnaire. A school representative will then be in touch to schedule a video interview.
Required Qualifications: Age 16+ with the ability to pass a criminal background check. Reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications: Age 18+ with prior experience as a caregiver, tutor, or teacher (in addition to reliable transportation and the ability to pass a criminal background check).
