Hello!
We are looking for People to become hospice companionship volunteers. Men, Women, Students (high school and college) Interns needing volunteer hours, Retiree's, Stay at home makers, anyone looking to give back.
What would you be doing? Volunteers help by visiting a facility and helping call bingo, help make crafts, and just visit, read, or play music for our patients suffering from a terminal illness.
This type of volunteering moves your soul. We usually ask that you visit your patient one time per week, we can work with your schedule.
** We are not an inpatient unit, we go to where our patients live, home, nursing home, assisted living, memory care. There is travel involved.
To be considered as a volunteer you must:
- fill out an application
- consent to let us run a background check on you. (we pay for that)
- Do a drug test and TB test.(we pay for that)
- Take six on line training courses.
- meet in person for orientation - bring your drivers license, auto insurance card and covid vaccine card if you have one.
- Meet your patient.

Agape Hospice Care was a nurse-owned and family-run hospice that believes in providing the best care possible. At Agape Hospice Care, we support an individual’s Goal to live each day as they decide, whether in the home or at a facility. Agape Hospice Care Volunteers are an integral part of the Hospice team. We take pride in having volunteers from many different backgrounds with many different talents and abilities. Our hospice volunteers give generously of their time to assist patients, and caregivers to relieve some of the tasks required when one becomes lives with a terminal diagnosis.
