Volunteer Workforce Associate
Purpose:
Immediate opportunity for a volunteer to support the Workforce Program at Community
Action Marin.

Responsibilities and duties:
Support outreach and recruitment activities, i.e., distributing flyers, representing
program at pop-ups, etc.
Support with phone screenings
Support with program orientation
Program enrollment: support with document completion, i.e. program agreement,
program baseline, CalJOBS registration, etc.
Connect and coordinate with individuals from all cohorts for follow-ups and referrals
as needed
Collect, monitor, and maintain participant's activities, referrals, check-ins, and
meeting attendance on spreadsheet and CalJOBS
Support with the development and implementation of monthly cohort workshops
(agendas & activities)
Demonstrate a positive attitude and welcome a collaborative work environment.
Adhere to Agency privacy and confidentiality standards, health and safety protocols, and the
code of ethics.
Communicates with individuals in a respectful manner and responsive approach to differing
beliefs and practices, sexual orientations, disability statuses, gender identities, ages, cultural
preferences, linguistic needs, and other state and federal protected statuses.
Time commitment:
12 hours average per week, through December 2023
Required skills and qualifications:

Fluent in Spanish/English
Available for occasional in-person evening meetings
Advanced computer skills
Experience working with people with barriers to employment and those living in
poverty
Ability to engage with individuals in an empathetic, culturally responsible manner
Verbal and written communication skills
Adapts well to a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and works effectively within a team
Willingness to provide a pleasant and welcoming environment
