ABOUT THE LCEC
Our mission at the Lussier Community Education Center is to build community, create opportunities, and enrich education. At the LCEC, we envision drawing in generations of community members from all walks of life to take care of one another and create a more just, healthy, and vibrant community.
TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT VOLUNTEER
POSITION SUMMARY:
Join the Tech Team & help maintain the computer lab at the Lussier Community Education Center. In this role, volunteers will help with computer maintenance, troubleshooting, and software updates. These volunteers are vital in keeping our computers working properly.
COMMITMENT
This position has flexible hours and we will work with your schedule.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performed installations and configuration of Windows XP.
- Maintain Computer Lab printer. (Change toner cartridges, refill paper, clean, etc.)
- Clean and maintain computer systems and their ancillary parts.
- Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding and appreciation of socio-economically, ethnically, and culturally diverse populations.
- Knowledge of PC operating systems
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
- Ability to operate computer-related equipment such as monitors, printers, speakers, scanners, and wifi devices.
REPORTS TO: Community Engagement Manager
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Submit a Volunteer Application & complete informal interview, have a background check on file, complete volunteer training. Timeline for process dependent on timeliness of submission.
