The Iowa Arts Festival is an award-winning, weekend-long community celebration featuring approximately 100 local and national visual artists. On Saturday and Sunday, we feature high school and college artists in the Emerging Artist Area. But that’s not all: there are music performances, food vendors serving regional and ethnic dishes, and creative, educational activities and entertainment for children. The Iowa Arts Festival is the most anticipated art event of the summer!
Masks are not required at our events, but if volunteers feel more comfortable wearing them during their shifts, please feel free to do so!
Volunteers 14 years of age or older can volunteer independently of a parent/guardian. Volunteers 8 to 13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Volunteers needed in the Merchandise Booth, Bike Parking, Beverage Garden, and Art Fair.

Description
Summer of the Arts is a local non-profit organization that works to produce and create a year filled with arts and cultural entertainment in the Iowa City Area. Our festivals and events include: the Iowa Arts Festival, Iowa City Jazz Festival, Friday Night Concert Series, Free Movie Series, the Soul & Blues Festival, and the Holiday Thieves Market.
In addition to individual volunteer opportunities, we also encourage group volunteering, which is a fantastic team building exercise and a positive way to represent your group in the community. Head over to the Volunteer information page on our website to fill out the Group Volunteer Interest Form!
