Greetings All! The shelter website needs to be updated for 2024. The last time it was revamped was in 2012 and technology has come so far since then. The website is a wordpress site. We are great at keeping everything up-to-date, but redesign is a whole different need.
What we need:
Website redesign - we prefer to keep it a wordpress site since many of the volunteers only have basic tech abilities
New logo - It cannot be completely altered. It was designed by a child who won a contest. It can be modified, but not completely changed.
Updated business card - We also would need new business card designs and letterhead to match the new site whenever completed.
NOTES: We want to stay away from any custom designed plugins or themes which will make upgrading to the next versions of WordPress and PHP harder. We currently host with PenTeleData, and wish to remain on that service.

About CCFOA: Carbon County Friends of Animals is a non-profit organization which advocates the elimination of animal suffering through sheltering and finding homes for unwanted pets. We also promote low-cost spaying and neutering, and provide educational outreach concerning the welfare of pets. We are a privately run organization, founded in 1997 from a direct need to shelter unwanted cats within our county. Although Carbon County is part of our organization name, we do NOT receive any funding from the county or any other government agency. Unlike the Carbon County Shelter, which is a county-run organization providing shelter for unwanted or stray dogs that receives government funding, all of our operating, maintenance, and care expenses are paid for by monies raised by fund-raising and donations. Our goal is to try to shelter as many cats as possible without having to look towards euthanasia as a means of control. We continuously rely and greatly appreciate the donations that we receive from our generous contributors.

We are not against multiple volunteers working on the site and we are thankful for any help offered. However, please PLEASE do not commit to assisting us unless you have the time to do so. We have been working on this since Fall of 2023 and every volunteer gets sidetracked with personal issues and we wait for months with no update and end up having to discontinue the relationship.
