If you want to make lasting long life connections throughout the world, this is for you!
Join Greenheart Exchange as a host family!
Host families are loving, supportive, and caring individuals (married, single, kids/no kids) that students stay with throughout the academic year while attending local high schools. Hosts provide 3 meals a day, a bed/place to study, and transportation to/from school. Exchange students will have their own insurance and spending money. Supervision of students while on program is provided by our Local Coordinator (LC), helping to support and guide them along the way. Application, reference, back ground check, home visit, orientations, and maintain monthly contact with LC are part of the vetting & commitment to hosting.
If interested, you must apply online at hostwithgreenheart.org
MEET OUR STUDENTS
Jonas from Czech Republic and Elisa from Germany that will arrive just before school begins in the fall.
Jonas is a 16-year-old boy from Czech Republic. He says he started practicing Muay Thai in September 2022. He enjoys this sport a lot. It's also called Thai boxing. Friends and family are very important to him. He enjoys traveling a lot. He also enjoys going to the movies or skateboarding. He is very interested in fashion and thinks he may be a fashion designer one day. Jonas is a very nice and friendly young man. He is independent and flexible. He is excited to meet his host family and make new friends. He is also very sporty and would like to join a sports team at his American High School.
Elisa, I am a 16-year-old girl from Germany. She has been horseback riding once a week for 12 years and I also like to be around animals at home. After school and on weekends, spends time with her parents to play board games or go to town for ice cream or shopping. Likes meeting her friends to cook or watch a movie together. Favorite subjects at school are English and French and after she graduates, would like to travel a bit and then go to university, but doesn't know exactly what she wants to be yet. Apart from that, she says, "I been a vegetarian for several years. Since I was little, I have wanted brothers and sisters but have remained an only child, so I hope to have siblings with my host family!"
