Gammelgarden Museum of Scandia seeks an enthusiastic and self-motivated volunteer to help us with our membership activities.
It's a great opportunity for a student to demonstrate skills/build a resume, or for a more experienced individual who just wants to help!
Tasks include:
- Help manage our current membership list
- Identify opportunities to increase membership, including:
- Creating an overall membership plan, including refining our membership levels and benefits
- Understanding the Scandia and Minnesota membership environment (e.g., what messages work best)
- Defining an approach/communications to reach out to lapsed members
- Monitor our current membership list
- Potentially implement a membership survey to help better focus our efforts and programming
- Work closely with the director, associate director/marketing & PR director, membership director, and Butik manager to engage current and prospective members

Mission Statement
Established in 1972 by Elim Lutheran Church to honor the Swedish immigrants who founded the community, Gammelgården Museum of Scandia today celebrates the story of all immigrants to their new land.
Description
Housed in six buildings on the historic gammelgården or old farm where the community of Scandia was first established, Gammelgården encourages visitors to explore their own journey. Through historical, educational, and cultural activities, Gammelgården invites visitors to step back in time and experience the stories of the immigrants as well as to discover new, contemporary bridges.
