THEATRE PRODUCTION AND MANAGEMENT TEAM MEMBER OnStage Playhouse, located in downtown Chula Vista in the middle of an active business district invites you to join our organization as a Member of the Production and Management Team which works to accomplish the creative and business tasks of a small but energetic live theatre company. OnStage Playhouse has operated a 66-seat theatre for 34 at 291 Third Ave., Chula Vista. We produce six theatrical productions a year, 18 performances per show, 108 annual performances. We do extra benefit performances and community events and donate many tickets to the community and revenue to worthy causes. We conduct a year-long theatre Intern program for students from the Sweetwater Union High School District.
There are a variety of work assignments depending on need and volunteer interest. This is an unpaid volunteer position. REMUNERATION: Invites to attend performances, opportunity for you to use your skills and learn new ones and the satisfaction of doing a important task for the community. Volunteers can donate from 3 hours a week or more. We welcome Volunteers of all ages. Theatre policy is governed by an 11-person Board of Directors. We maintain Directors & Officers Insurance, General Liability Insurance, Liability Insurance for Volunteers, and Vehicle Liability Insurance (for a vehicle operating on theatre business). W e receive financial support from the Chula Vista Office of Arts & Culture, The County of San Diego, The Parker Foundation, and The San Diego Foundation.
