Make a difference in the life of a child - you can be the eyes and ears for a child that is the victim of abuse or neglect!

Become a trained Guardian ad Litem volunteer who is part of a child advocacy team consisting of a Child Advocate Manager, Attorney and Volunteer Mentor providing a powerful voice on behalf of vulnerable children.

Volunteers spend 6-10 hours per month - mostly from home.

Tasks include:

  • Visit the child monthly and help gather important information to make recommendation in dependency court.
  • Following your visits you will enter notes into a user-friendly system

Description

Leading Through Experience! You've gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through non-profit, faith-based, and governmental agencies to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of volunteers with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental accident insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
