ORGANIZATION: TRU Community Care

Volunteers serve wherever patients reside. Our volunteers provide companionship for patients, run errands, perform chores in homes, and allow family members to get away for relaxation or other duties. Volunteers receive a special 20 hour training to deal with the unique issues that face the dying and their families. Contact us TODAY to learn more about our next volunteer training!

About TRU Community Care

Location:

2594 Trailridge Dr E, Lafayette, CO 80026, US

Mission Statement

TRU Community Care (TRU) affirms life at every step of your journey with illness and loss. Our vision is to lead a healthcare transformation by engaging with our communities and offering innovative, meaningful care for those living with illness and loss.

Description

We were founded as Boulder Hospice in 1976 to provide expert medical, emotional, and spiritual care to terminally ill people and their families.

As Colorado's first hospice, we have long set the standard for care of those with advanced illness in our region. And we continue to lead the way today, with innovative programs that honor the choices, preserve the dignity and address the individual needs of the patients and families we are privileged to serve.

As a nonprofit, community effort, we provide our hospice care for everyone who needs us, regardless of ability to pay. With a focus on providing a continuum of care for members of our community living with advanced illness and loss, TRU’s programs include TRU Hospice, TRU PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), TRU Palliative Care, Landmark Memory Care, and TRU Grief Services.
