The Alzheimer's Association of Northern Nevada is looking for volunteers to help us with one of our national signature events, The Longest Day. For The Longest Day, people across the world will do what they love to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia and raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
You are invited to join The Longest Day Volunteer Committee where you will play a vital role in team recruitment and cultivation, as well as marketing and promoting the event throughout Nevada.
Committee members:
- Network with their community to help recruit new participants for The Longest Day
- Connect with past participants to help them get started for The Longest Day
- Coach current participants to help them reach their fundraising goal
- Make welcome and thank you calls to participants
- Post in social media to recognize participants that reach fundraising milestones
- Attend community events and health fairs to help raise awareness about The Longest Day and those affected by Alzheimer’s disease

Description
We provide programs and support services for patients, families, caregivers, and others in the San Francisco Bay Area affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Outside the federal government, the Alzheimer's Association is the largest research funder in the country and offers advocacy opportunities to make public policy change.
At the Alzheimer's Association, diversity and inclusion are vital to our mission. The Association leads strategic initiatives to support diversity and a culture of inclusivity. These strategic initiatives also strengthen outreach to all populations, providing communities with resources and support to address the Alzheimer’s crisis.
