Come FLY with us to teach game based financial literacy to K-4th graders in Berkeley during spring break from April 3, 2023 to April 7, 2023.

FLY to the world is a youth led nonprofit organization aiming to teach financial literacy to underserved community. No background is needed. All curriculum game ideas will be provided.

Please schedule your volunteer hours on our website 1 week before your arrival. We will email you the form for you to sign, and materials for you to lead the class. There will be teachers in the class. Don't worry if you do not have experience! We hope you have fun!

We are a youth-led nonprofit organization that strives to bridge the worldwide inequality gap by building financial skills, entrepreneurship, and promoting financial inclusion with diversity among youth globally.

Description

We are a youth-led nonprofit organization looking for peer volunteers to teach basic financial literacy to underserved children. We provide you with training and materials. We started online teaching in 2022 and are now expanding our efforts to local community in Berkeley area. We are looking for high school volunteers to teach k-4th graders financial literacy through games 1 hour after school between 4:00pm to pm 6:00pmweekly. Content includes: recognizing money, practice simple math, play monopoly game we design to learn different types of jobs and life choices, learn banking system , credit and debit cards, play shopping games to distinguish needs vs wants. Commitment: 1 hour a week but can rotate among our volunteers in the group. Hours are flexible.
