The office manager will help NECWA Staff manage interns and volunteers who will be working in the office and the field. They will also help enter data and check data when needed. The office manager will also answer phone calls from the NECWA Rescue Hotline cell phone as well as assist with other "office" duties including copying, scanning, and organizing data and materials. All staff and volunteers who work in the NECWA office will wear masks to combat issues with COVID.

2 Shifts

  • morning / 09:00 AM to 11:45 AM EST
    Shifts can be flexible depending on volunteer needs
  • afternoon / 12:00 PM to 03:00 PM EST
    Shift start and end times can be flexible.

The New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance (NECWA) proactively protects and preserves New England's coastal marine wildlife through the understanding of local species to inform local habitat policy, to educate the public on good stewardship, and to mentor young professionals in the field of marine science and non-profit management.

Description

The New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance (NECWA) is an all-volunteer nonprofit that works to protect local marine wildlife in the New England area through collaborations with the community and with local governments. NECWA combines educational outreach with research and conservation to better understand and manage wildlife and to include the community in its protection. NECWA realizes that our young professionals are our future so we mentor young scientists and community members in the value of: good stewardship of local habitats, rigorous scientific study, and informed public policy.
