Are you a lawyer looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children in need? Maya’s Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children in extreme poverty and crisis worldwide, is seeking a passionate and skilled attorney to join our Board of Directors.
About Maya’s Hope
Maya’s Hope is on a mission to bring hope and brighter futures to children in desperate need of support. We provide life-saving medical care, access to education, and essential resources to children globally, empowering them to thrive.
Role and Responsibilities
As a board member, you will:
- Use your legal expertise to guide the organization on legal matters, ensuring compliance and good governance.
- Help shape the strategic vision of Maya’s Hope and contribute to our decision-making process.
- Advocate for our mission and support our fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate with a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to making a global impact.
Qualifications
- Licensed attorney in good standing in the State of New York.
- Experience in nonprofit, corporate, or international law is a plus but not required.
- Commitment to Maya’s Hope’s mission and values.
- Ability to dedicate time to quarterly board meetings (remote) and occasional strategic discussions.
