8by8 is looking for a Marketing Volunteer to join our existing marketing team and assist in content creation and brand growth. We are a volunteer-run nonprofit working to #StopAsianHate at the ballot box, by increasing historically low voter registration and political participation in our Asian communities. Our "8by8 challenge" app will use social engagement and viral marketing to spread the message of voter registration; challengers will invite 8 of their friends to register to vote in 8 days, providing a fun and engaging way to register new voters.

To help market our app, gain new users, and build our brand identity, we are seeking capable and experienced marketing volunteers to manage and create aspects of the process and work closely with our other team leads. The role will focus on task execution provided by our marketing team lead.

You will:

• Plan, execute, and drive creative direction for web, SEO/SEM, email, and social media campaigns.
• Design, build, and maintain our social media presence.
• Measure the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals.
• Identify trends and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
• Complete tasks provided by our marketing lead.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to improve the end-to-end customer experience.
