Camp Because I Said I Would aims to equip 12 to 17-year-old students and families who have experienced loss with essential resilience-building skills. Through the provision of scholarships, the camp will also support young people who have been impacted by abuse, bereavement, or suicidal ideation.

This opportunity is to greet visitors and guests to the venue. Check out and in equipment/games/Blu-rays to guests on the property. Checking games and equipment for all pieces upon return. Checking donated items to make sure all pieces are there before adding them to the library. Giving tours of the property/cabins as occupancy allows. Ringing out merchandise sales as needed. To fill times when there are no guests at the event venue, there are numerous other light office work opportunities available such as counting promise cards and writing encouraging notes on envelopes, inventory count in the small front store area, and helping put together the gift bags for families coming for bereavement stays at camp.

because I said I would is a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept. We are changing lives through character development programs and volunteer projects in partnership with schools, juvenile detention centers, prisons, and communities.
