Volunteer as a Blood Donor Ambassador and discover a new purpose as a member of a lifesaving team to help support blood collections in your neighborhood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Willingness to support the Red Cross Mission
- Donor receptionists welcome donors, help check in donors, distribute required reading material, and maintain a smooth donor flow
- Offer refreshments to donors, alert the collection staff if a donor needs assistance, and thank the donor for their donation
- Ensures donors have a positive experience
Time Commitment: Red Cross Blood Donor Ambassadors will typically fulfill a 4-6 hour shift, depending on the event. All volunteers are preferred to serve for a minimum of 3 months, and this county generally has a blood drive every month. Volunteers may also wish to support nearby counties.
