AccentCare is committed to ensuring that no patient dies alone unless that is their choice. Vigil Volunteers
are trained to support patients in their final hours by holding their hand, providing reassurance, placing a
cool washcloth on their forehead, creating a peaceful through music and aromatherapy, and
offering support and sacred space throughout their transition. You will receive full hospice volunteer
training and specialized Vigil Volunteer training. We need volunteers throughout northern Colorado.

Description
Hospice affirms life. Hospice exists to provide aupport and care for persons living with a serious illness so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. Hospice is specialized care that provides supportive care directed towards enhancing quality of life. Together with the patient and family, the interdisciplinary caregiving team focuses on the individual's physical symptoms as well as the emotional and spiritual concerns of the patient and family.
Understanding that it is a privilege to accompany patients and families on this unique journey, hospice strives to uphold the patient's personal dignity and to ever sustain hope.
