ETIV is offering a new program for the year 2023 and is hoping to maintain this program. The objective of this program is to offer theoretical and practical knowledge, to awaken in students an interest in technology, and thus bring a new perspective of life, technical training, and a desire to know and explore this area full of possibilities and challenges. The target audience is High School students between the ages of 12 and 17 years old.

Importance of the role:

One of the reasons why IT is so important here is because it offers high job opportunities. As some of you may know, the IT industry is constantly growing and there is a demand for professionals all over the world. Furthermore, this class will provide valuable skills. As most of the community does not have access to computers or electronic devices, this class will allow students to learn how these useful tools function allowing them to use administration tools such as Google office or Microsoft office. This will contribute to their future and to their life in the workforce, as well as help them develop skills that are highly valued in any industry and can be useful in any career they choose to pursue.

You will be teaching different things such as : How to format a computer, Operating systems (Linux and Android), programming logic, programming with shell script, Blockchain, NFT, etc.

The classes will be taught using theory and practice with a focus on the latter. Eventually, the classes will take the form of practical workshops at the ETIV headquarters, during which students will be able to propose projects that they can put into practice using the knowledge they acquired.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To support development of the curriculum while also preparing the lesson plans and documenting everything so that it can be re-used and built upon in the future.
  • To take attendance and document outcomes including successes, challenges, and best practices for every class.
  • To assist the IT program coordinator
  • To teach many of the core values that lay the foundation for ETIV's work, also listed on our website.

About ETIV do Brasil

Rua Magali, 60, Bairro Passagem, Itacaré, Bahia 45530-000, BR

Mission Statement

To support youth development and environmental conservation in Brazil by connecting volunteers and interns with local communities.

ETIV is deeply focused on youth development and environmental conservation in Brazil. As a result, one of our main goals is to develop a new generation of local youth leaders that actively care for each other, their community, the environment and all sentient beings. This is the main avenue by which we work to achieve our Mission and Vision (highlighted below).
Through all of our community projects, we encourage volunteers to teach and model some of the core values necessary to create and maintain healthy and prosperous communities. This includes mutual respect, cultural appreciation, caring for each other, speaking the truth, acting honestly and transparently, sharing and being generous (as opposed to stealing or taking things that don’t belong to you) and actively caring for the environment and all sentient beings.
