The South Baldwin Literacy Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering our community members through education. We offer a variety of free or low-cost literacy programs to the community members of southern Baldwin County. We are seeking a people-oriented, volunteer tutor to serve their community from the comfort of their own home. We offer an Online GED Program to students who experience barriers to joining our In-Person GED Program. This position will be centered around providing Virtual Tutoring to Online GED Students via Zoom or Google Meets. This position has flexible volunteer hours, with most volunteers offering tutoring services 2-4 hours per week. You will work alongside our GED Team, supporting adults in pursuing their GED. Ample resources and support are provided - all we need is your help!

The South Baldwin Literacy Council was established in 1983 as a volunteer-based, non-profit organization. We serve the communities and residents of Baldwin County, Alabama through a wide array of educational services and programming. Through the generosity of donations and grants, the South Baldwin Literacy Council provides services at a low-cost or free-of-charge for local residents. Our mission is to empower community members of all ages, races, and backgrounds through educational equality.
